Arthroscopy is the most common form of orthopedic surgery carried out as a diagnosis of previously treated joints or to treat various problems with joints.

Although arthroscopy is a very basic and quick procedure, first of all, you are checked whether you are fit for the surgery, then you'll be given general anesthesia so that you don't feel any pain, in some cases local anesthesia might also be used.

Now the skin over the affected area is being sterilized properly and a very small cut is made so as to insert the instrument called an Arthroscopy which is a thin tube made of non-reactive metal with a light and a camera attached on the top of it.

The entire procedure takes up to 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the level of complexity.

After the surgery is successfully completed, the arthroscope is removed with all the other instruments and the cut is stitched to wrap it with a sterile dressing.
