Dr Nivedita Pandey is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist based in New Delhi. She graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi and then decided to move to the USA for super-specialization. She completed training in internal medicine from the State University of New York, followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
In the U.S, she joined the Albany Medical Center in New York, USA as an Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology. She later worked as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Texas A&M University in Texas, USA. Later, Dr Nivedita made a decision to return to India and chose to settle down in the city of Djinns – New Delhi, where she works as a Transplant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist.
Dr. Nivedita always wanted to be more than a doctor and she experiments with new things that are outside the domain of medical science. Dr Nivedita has done stints as a radio jockey at the All India Radio, volunteered at the blind association, organized health camps in villages and anchored a health show on Doordarshan.
Her interests are spread over myriad realms and in her free time, she likes to listen to music, read books and travel. Her favourite city in the world is Varanasi, which she adores for its ancient history, the mesmerising ghats and the magnificent Ganga aarti. She also strives to live by the philosophy that happiness is an art you need to teach yourself every day.
It was her quest for finding happiness and satisfaction in life that led her to leave the US and move to India with her husband. The idea of Dr Good Deed was conceived with her husband and is aimed at bringing healthcare facilities to the remotest corners of the country, based on the pillars of technology and communication.
