Tamarind is a vital ingredient in many food items. Tamarind paste can be prepared mechanically. First of all the tamarind pod is depodded & deseeded to get the tamarind pulp. Then seeds separated are used for making powder. Then the tamarind pulp is soaked in hot water in a agitating mixer. Then soaked tamarind pulp is transferred in the extractor to get the tamarind juice. This tamarind juice is then filtered in a mechanical filter. Finally the filtered juice is then concentrated in a vacuum evaporator.
Tamarind powder is prepared by mixing the pulp with dilutent in a mixer. Then this dilute pulp is dried with the help of dryer. The dried pulp is then pulverized in pulverizer and sifted. The desired mesh powder is then packed.
